Drone Video Production

Bailiwick

When Bailiwick turned to Spot to create a video showcasing their Integration Center, we turned our video team loose to create something unique. After meeting with the client, the team determined the best way to capture the full scope of the operation was to use a drone—but not just any drone as you’ll see in the final product below.

Challenge

Bailiwick’s Integration Center represents a tremendous value proposition to existing and prospective customers. Its huge capacity for inventorying, warehousing and configuring large volumes of electronic products allows their customers to get what they need when they need it—even in the midst of looming supply chain crises. But actually conveying the scale of this facility’s operations to customers required more of a “see it to believe it” approach.

Solution

Spot decided to use a FPV (first-person view) drone instead of a standard tele-operated drone to move through the building quickly, giving viewers a birds-eye view of the entire operation in one seamless take. The team did a location scout to tour the facility and learn about key areas to highlight, which we turned into a detailed flight plan. We worked with the Bailiwick team to coordinate logistics, performed a rehearsal flight, and ultimately executed a safe, seamless shoot amidst the hustle and bustle of regular business hours with minimal disruption.

Results

The end result was a dynamic, fast-paced video that gives viewers a deeper understanding of Bailiwick’s commitment to large-scale complex IT initiatives, design and deployment solutions, project management, customer service and more. As part of the rollout launch, Spot also produced a short teaser video for use in driving organic traffic from other channels to their website, encouraging visitors to watch the full-length video.
